Preferences that shape how periods and reports are calculated.
Fiscal year
The month your fiscal year begins. This makes “quarter” and “year” views fiscal, and drives the balance sheet’s year-to-date equity.
Changing this recomputes the balance sheet’s equity on the next QuickBooks sync — re-sync the connection for it to take effect there.
Close period
Cap report presets at your last closed book month so no view pulls in a partial, still-open month — viewers won’t mistake unfinished numbers for final ones.
